Our New Campus

As of 2021, the University of Southampton Malaysia will move into EcoBotanic City in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. The upgraded multi-storey campus is built to accommodate up to 2,000 students and features state-of-the-art laboratories, learning spaces and recreational spaces for an exceptional educational experience. The campus is equipped with a cutting edge digital library, a myriad of open learning spaces and lecture halls that can seat up to 200 students.

Campus Facilities

Library & Resource Centre

Students at our Malaysia and UK campuses will have access to the same online resources and guidance materials, including information on careers and employment.

Lecture Theatres

UoSM’s new campus is equipped with open learning spaces and lecture halls that can seat up to 200 students.

Laboratories

UoSM’s new campus comes with high-technology facilities including Thermofluid and Aero laboratories. In the UK, our students can enjoy £8m undergraduate teaching and project laboratories.

Sports

Students will have access to the exceptional physical recreation and sports facilities at EduCity, which includes a 6,000 capacity sports stadium with a rugby pitch, and a 400 metre athletic track.

Bus services

Shuttles are provided by EduCity and EcoWorld, to and from the campus, accommodations and nearby facilities.

Extracurricular activities

A variety of activities and clubs have been formed by students for students at the Malaysia Campus.

Around the Campus

Surrounded by a wide range of shopping malls, cafes, restaurants, and recreational facilities in close proximity to campus. Nearby attractions are Legoland, Puteri Harbour and more.

Enjoy a retreat into nature or a beach getaway at the natural attractions in Johor such as the famous Tioman Island, Mersing Islands and the Endau-Rompin National Park.

Travel to KL and Singapore easily with various transportation modes such as buses and flights.

Accommodation

Accommodation for students at Southampton Malaysia is conveniently located close to the campus. EcoNest and EduCity Village are the most popular options for our students.

EcoNest

EcoNest is a luxury accommodation facility within 5 minutes walking distance to the UoSM new campus. Due to its location, EcoNest is a great place to live for students with shops and restaurants on its doorstep.

EduCity Village

EduCity Village is three minutes away from the UoSM new campus on a regular free shuttle bus. All rooms have an internet connection and there are kitchen facilities on each floor as well as a cafeteria on the ground floor. EduCity Village also offers impressive shared social spaces.
