Course Structure

Year 1 modules will introduce you to the key concepts and techniques in marketing and business analytics, as well as related areas of business and management. In Year 2, you will develop your ability to apply and analyse marketing theories and techniques by creating a digital marketing campaign for a real business. In your final year, you will get to demonstrate the breadth of your learning by completing a dissertation on a marketing topic of your choice.

    Assoc. Professor Dr. Md Hamid Uddin received his Ph.D. degree in Finance from the National University of Singapore and taught at the same institution. He also taught at the University of Dhaka, Prince Sultan University, the University of Sharjah, and Taylor's University before joining the University of Southampton Malaysia. Dr. Hamid held several key administrative roles in the past. For example, he was the Director of the Doctoral Programme at Taylor's University Malaysia. At the University of Sharjah UAE, he was a member of the college council for the College of Business Administration; he also served in several important committees such as curriculum development, study plans, and academic research. Dr. Hamid is an active researcher who supervised several Ph.D. students, implemented research projects, and published widely within the broader disciplinary area covering Finance, Accounting, and Economics.

Joe holds a first-class honours degree in Marketing from University Teknologi Malaysia, at which he later attained his PhD in Management. He obtained his BSc in Business Administration (Decision Science and Financial Management) from University of Montana, USA, MBA (Strategic Management) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Doctor of Business Administration (Marketing) from Southern Cross University, Australia. In Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, he had served as Coordinator, Head of Programme (PhD and MPhil), Head of Programme (MBA and MBA (Corporate Governance)), Head of Department (Management) and Head of Department (International Business). Dr. Lau is a prolific researcher and had published extensively in books, book chapters, international journals and conference proceedings. Many of the published papers are indexed in Clarivate Analytics and SCOPUS, and widely cited internationally.
